Henage Bench Reupholstered

The Henage family has this bench in their kitchen area that has seen better days. I wish I would have taken some before pictures so you could see what it looked like. Jeannine hired me to reupholster their bench for them. She said it shouldn't be too hard. As I looked at, I kind of thought I could do it, but at the same time was very skeptical, especially with my meager sewing skills. I accepted the challenge. It was a good thing I had Jeannine to help me and so I could ask her a zillion questions as I worked on it. I also wish I would have taken pictures as I worked on this fun project. While I was taking apart the old vinyl, I sliced my hand with the seamripper. It was nasty! The cut was an inch long and deep enough to see fat - gross!!! I probably should have gotten stitches, but didn't. At one point on the sewing machine, I was covered with fabric everywhere. I was stuck and couldn't get out! It was quite the adventure! I felt like I was guessing my way through it, but it turned out great! It looks so good now! So, pretty much, I'm a professional now. You can call me for any of your uphostery needs. Hee hee. Jeannine was "tickled" with how well it turned out and how great it looks in her kitchen. Here are some pictures of what it looks like now.

Valentine's Day Cookies

As I thought about what I could give Matthew for Valentine's Day, I came up with just the thing! We have a funny little saying and a funny way of saying it that goes - "I love you with my heart." So, for Valentine's Day I made this gynormous cookie and frosted on it - "I love you with my heart!" I wished I would have had my video going to get his expression. He was laughing so hard! I got such a kick out of it. He could not believe I made a cookie so big. He had never seen a cookie that big. It was awesome! The best part about it was I was able to keep it a secret from him. I had to be very sneaky since he was just in the other room the whole time. Man! I am good!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

For Valentine's Day I thought it would be fun to make heart shaped pancakes for breakfast. When I asked Matthew what he wanted for breakfast he said heart shaped pancakes. I busted up laughing because that was what I had planned on making! So what did he get? Heart shaped pancakes for breakfast! It was so fun to do.

Natalie's Wedding

Natty got married January 31st in the Twin Falls Temple. She received her endowments the night before. We were able to go up and be a part of her sealing. It was fun to be there. We are so grateful to have been a part of her special days. I got to do her hair and make-up and help her get ready - that was so much fun!!! Here are some pictures from that. Some of them I did some Photoshop with so they would look better, and so I could play around and practice some more with it.
